About this site
Information that is important for you to know.
This site will shortly be undergoing a revamp and update that will make it easier for you to navigate. At the moment it is a work in progress that is limited by the amount of time I have available.
Now about me.
Although I have a background in health and welfare I do not see myself as a healthcare professional. I know a little bit about a lot of things and I am not expert in any particular area. My forte lies in my ability to listen well and to know when and where to access helpful information.
Throughout my life I have been dedicated to the principles of empowerment and information for this site is drawn from my personal experiences.
I believe that anyone who uses the internet has a right to expect that the information provided, products or services will uphold certain guiding principles.
Dying Matters is a dynamic work in progress in which I share with you the sorts of things that you may need to know about all kind of matters that relate to death and dying.
Some information presented on this site is to provide background and context though the majority of the information is selected to be an honest, practical and helpful resource.
As editor and writer I routinely review the material that relates to death and dying by scanning the internet , reading journals and articles and talking to people. Expert opinion has been sought regarding the content for this website and I continually seek out interesting and relevant conferences to attend to satisfy my personal interest and to update my knowledge base. This has enabled me to keep abreast of current thinking as well as to provide the information for this site.
I acknowledge my sources and provide links to the articles and websites I research to provide the information. I try only link to sites that I am confident will contain relevant information. It is my intention at all times to be candid about any vested interests encountered as this site is progressed and to remain mindful of the responsibility of responsible partnering.
